Duplex for monthly rental with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, with private terrace in Hortaleza
Contemporary design, large terrace and spaces filled with natural light
Monthly rental apartment (from 32 days to 11 months)
Some homes are simply places to stay, while others become part of the experience of living in a city. This duplex in Hortaleza clearly belongs to the latter group. Its contemporary architecture, the glass roofs that flood the home with natural light, and its open spaces create an atmosphere rarely found in Madrid, designed for those seeking more than just temporary accommodation.
The main floor features a large, open-plan living area that is both spacious and versatile. The living room, dining room, and kitchen share the spotlight in this bright and airy space, making it easy to work, cook, or simply enjoy everyday life. The integrated kitchen is divided into two distinct areas, offering ample workspace and storage, ideal for those who love to cook. On this same floor, there is a second, separate living area with a sofa and television, perfect as a home theater, reading nook, or additional space to relax. A full bathroom with a shower is also included.
The property's main attraction is its spectacular private terrace, directly connected to the living room and kitchen area. A true outdoor space to enjoy for much of the year, it features a sofa area under a pergola, a barbecue area, a small garden, and various nooks perfect for relaxing, having breakfast al fresco, or sharing leisurely summer dinners.
The sleeping area is located on the upper floor, accessed via an integrated industrial-style staircase. Here you'll find the master bedroom, furnished with a double bed and wardrobes, in a cozy and tranquil space that maintains the home's unique character.
The apartment has heating and high-speed WiFi.
Located in a well-established residential area of Hortaleza, the property offers the perfect balance between tranquility and easy access to the rest of the city. Just minutes away you'll find local shops, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and all the services you need for daily life. Furthermore, the Palacio de Hielo shopping center is very close by, offering a wide range of leisure activities, dining options, a cinema, and shops.
The Pinar del Rey metro station (Line 8) is just a 6-minute walk away, providing quick connections to Nuevos Ministerios and the airport. The Esperanza station (Line 4) is also nearby, about a 10-minute walk, facilitating access to various points in Madrid.

About Hortaleza
Hortaleza is one of those northern Madrid neighbourhoods where you can truly feel a calmer pace—without being “far from everything.” It has a very residential, family-friendly vibe, with local shops, parks, and an everyday rhythm that’s more relaxed than the city centre, yet still packed with useful services.
Its green side shines in places like Parque Juan Carlos I and Valdebebas Forest Park, perfect for walking, cycling, or simply switching off. And if you’re in the mood for something different, being close to IFEMA is a plus, with fairs, conferences, and events that bring extra energy to the area at certain times of the year.
Getting around is easy thanks to good metro and bus connections, with stations like Mar de Cristal (a key interchange) and Hortaleza, plus quick road access toward the airport and major routes. Overall, it’s an excellent choice if you want peace, open spaces, and practical day-to-day living, while keeping Madrid within easy reach.
Frequently asked questions you may have about temporary rentals
I liked an apartment, can I visit it?
Yes, if you have chosen an apartment from our website and wish to visit it, please write to us at madrid@atemporalrent.com indicating your name, email, phone number, and the apartment reference so that a sales agent can contact you. You can also call us at 91 078 60 63 during business hours.
A sales agent will get in touch with you to coordinate a visit, provided that the apartment is available for the dates you require.
What do I need to book this apartment in Madrid right now?
The documents you need to provide will vary depending on the reason for your stay in Madrid if you are:
A. Student
B. Employee
C. Corporate bookings (company)
D. Self-employed
You can see the details in booking conditions.
Afterwards, to formalize the reservation, a payment equivalent to at least one monthly rental installment must be made. Depending on the case, the total initial payment can also be made at the time of booking, which includes:
- Security deposit: 1 or 2 monthly installments (depending on the duration of the contract).
- First and second month's rent (or proportional parts, according to the entry/exit dates).
- ITP (Property Transfer Tax), where applicable.
How can I make the payment for the reservation?
You can make the payment in three ways:
- Bank transfer: We recommend an immediate transfer, especially if the check-in is soon. If the funds are not in our account before check-in, we will not be able to proceed with the entry.
- Credit card payment at the office at Passeig de Gràcia 85, 2nd floor, 08008 Barcelona. Payment by card may involve an additional management fee.
- Online payment link: We can send you a payment link via email or phone so you can complete the transaction conveniently and securely.

Are utilities included in the rental price (water, electricity, and gas)?
Utilities ARE NOT INCLUDED in the apartment rental price. We work with an approximate monthly provision based on the size of the flat:
- 1-bedroom apartment: approx. 150 €/month*
- 2-bedroom apartment: approx. 200 €/month*
- 3-bedroom apartment: approx. 250 €/month*
- 4+ bedroom apartment: approx. 300 €/month*
*Reference values. Always check with your agent for the exact amount in each case.
This provision is paid along with the monthly rent within the first 5 days of each month. If, during the stay, consumption is found to be significantly higher than estimated, you will be informed of the difference.
In some apartments, utilities may be paid via a fixed monthly fee. We will inform you if this applies to your case.
What type of insurance does the property have?
Most of our properties have multi-risk insurance (building and, in many cases, contents) which covers:
- Structural elements of the home.
- Installations and, in some cases, part of the furniture.
This insurance DOES NOT cover your personal belongings (computers, phones, suitcases, etc.).
Therefore, we recommend that you consider taking out a tenant's home insurance or travel insurance that includes coverage for personal belongings during your stay.
Are pets allowed in the apartments?
Some apartments accept pets and others do not, depending on each owner's policy and the building's community rules.
We recommend contacting our team so they can help you find pet-friendly apartment options via:
- Email: madrid@atemporalrent.com
- Madrid Phone: 91 078 60 63
Who is responsible for community fees and property taxes?
Community fees and IBI (Property Tax) are the responsibility of the owner, unless otherwise agreed upon in the contract.
The tenant, where applicable, must take care of utility consumptions (water, electricity, gas) and other contracted services (internet, etc.), as well as any other concept expressly agreed upon in the contract.
